Biography

Devin Peterson has a very special story that gives him an expertise in organizational leadership, ministry, and education. Growing up as a “Preacher’s Kid”, he was given the opportunity to see all three of these areas effectively put into practice. It was during his early teen years that he felt that call of ministry and began to pursue this direction passionately. Serving in lay ministry areas, Devin was able to learn from the successes and failures of his own pastors and leaders. Now with over a decade of hands on ministry and administrative experience, Devin is well equipped to lead and inspire. According to the leading temperament and strength assessments, Devin has a unique personality type that makes up less than 2% of the population, making him a very dynamic visionary and strategist.

Movement Church exists to move people from where they are to where God wants them to be. As a church plant in Mansfield, Texas, Movement launched on September 25, 2019. City of Mansfield Fire Department

Upon moving to Mansfield, Devin felt led to offer his professional skills of chaplaincy services to the Mansfield city Fire Department. Since March of 2019, he has served as the volunteer on-call chaplain. Click here to learn more.

In 2020, Devin was asked to serve his alma mater through two assignments: appointment as President of the Alumni Association and by joining of the Board of Directors. Devin has been credentialed with the Assemblies of God General Council (through the North Texas District) since 2017. He received his full ordination in September 17, 2019.
